Everyone claims to value freedom.
The media shouts about it. Culture celebrates it. Churches sing songs about it. But here’s the problem—most people don’t know what real freedom even is.
They think it’s doing whatever feels good. Saying whatever you want. Living by “your truth.”
That’s not freedom. That’s bondage.
Bondage to emotion. Bondage to sin. Bondage to deception dressed up as liberty.
Jesus didn’t set you free so you could coast through life in comfort.
He set you free to walk in truth—not emotionalism, not cultural narratives, and certainly not mainstream media propaganda.
Let’s talk about that for a second:
If you’re still letting mainstream media shape your thinking—you are not free.
These platforms push fear, division, and manipulation.
They don’t inform you—they form you. Into what the system wants.
Into passive, compliant, self-focused people who care more about being accepted than being holy.
If your worldview has been shaped more by CNN, TikTok, or The View than by Scripture—you’ve been deceived.
Freedom starts by turning off the lies—and turning up the truth.
That’s what John the Baptist did.
He didn’t step onto the scene with soft words or seeker-friendly slogans.
He came out of the wilderness, eating locusts and honey, declaring:
“Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
Translation: “Change your thinking. You’ve been lied to. If you don’t wake up, you’re going to miss what God is doing.”
The same message applies today.
So here’s the question:
Are you truly free—or are you just distracted?
- You might be saved, but are you still a slave to fear, shame, or comfort?
- Do you speak boldly—or stay quiet so you don’t get canceled?
- Are you walking in obedience—or following feelings and headlines?
Real freedom is not the absence of struggle.
It’s the presence of clarity, obedience, and courage—in a world that wants you blind, passive, and neutral.
If you want freedom, it’s going to cost you:
➤ The lies you’ve believed.
➤ The comfort you’ve clung to.
➤ The media you’ve trusted.
➤ And the version of “Christianity” that never confronts sin.
Jesus is coming back for a Bride who has made herself ready, clothed in righteousness and set apart in truth.
So throw off the chains.
Repent of the lies.
Reject the systems of deception.
And walk in the freedom Christ died to give you.
