Most Vital Book of the Bible
Revelation: Connects, Completes & Applies All the rest of the Bible
Revelation 1:1-8
A Personal Biblical Framework For Understanding The Bible
This is the only book of the Bible exclusively devoted to SHOW Jesus Christ as He is now and forever.
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ…”
This is the only book of the Bible exclusively given to PREPARE each believer of every generation for
FULFILLING God’s PURPOSE for their life. “…which God gave Him to show His servants…”
Only book of the Bible exclusively written to EXPLAIN the future plans God has for the world “…things
which must shortly take place…”
How to Understand & Interpret the Bible Using the VITAL Keys of Context
The PRIMARY interpretation is based on the: Historical Context, the Geographical Context, and the
Scriptural Context. When combined with the Grammatical Context, you have proper Biblical
Interpretation. So, the first rule of textual interpretation is: “What did God mean when He spoke to the
original recipients of that portion of Scripture?”

Lesson 1: Revelation is the ONLY Book of the Bible ALL ABOUT JESUS (Revelation 1:1)
Lesson 2: We are SLAVES of GOD (Revelation 1:1) We have been bought. We are owned. We belong to
Jesus Christ…
2
Lesson 3: We are CALLED to Keep God’s Word (Revelation 1:3)
Lesson 4: SUNDAY is The LORD’S Day (Revelation 1:10)
Lesson 5: Revelation is for Christ’s Church (Revelation 1:11)
Lesson 6: Christ’s ATTENTION is ON His Church (Revelation 1:13) There’s no guessing. There’s no
confusion…
Lesson 7: Jesus’ TOP PRIORITY is the HEALTH of His Church (Revelation 1:14-16)
If you belong to Jesus, then He wants you to know two things, everything is either: 1. Pleasing to Him, or
2. Not Pleasing to Him

HOUR-02: Christ Unleashed (Revelation 1:1-11)
The Power of Jesus Christ Displayed: Wherever He went, Christ’s very Presence made sure that death
fled, disease faded, and despair melted.
Broken bodies that came in contact with Jesus were mended, ruined lives repaired, sightless eyes
restored, empty ears filled with sound, missing fingers returned, and hungering lives satisfied.
Everywhere He went, wherever He was, whenever He was there: the Presence of Jesus meant that
death, disease, and despair were no more. But Jesus only did that from being in one place at a time.
Just One Place At a Time
The Unlimited Power of Christ Is Now Available Everywhere
Something Changed. The Power of Christ’s Presence. Jesus Solved All Problems By His Presence
What is Revelation’s Most Important Message for Believers? HOW TO LIVE FOR GOD IN A DANGEROUS
WORLD
What Mortal Dangers Did Christ Warn His Church to Beware of?
1. Ephesus: the danger of just going through the motions.
2. Smyrna: the danger of starting to fear.
3. Pergamos: the danger of being comfortable around sin.
4. Thyatira: the danger of not forsaking personal sins.
5. Sardis: the danger of acting and operating like lost people.
6. Laodicea: the danger of getting distracted from seeing Christ in His Word each day.
Ephesus: The Danger of Coasting. Loss of “first love” is when things get old, and we no longer desire
Jesus as much as we remember that we did in the past…
Do we live like we’re part of Christ’s Special Forces that He has deployed behind enemy lines?
Imagine today you are a special forces soldier invited to your final briefing before active duty.
Today you are being sent to patrol, on foot through Afghanistan’s Taliban controlled territory.
You know there will be along each step of your patrol: snipers, landmines, remote controlled IED’s, as
well as RPG’s, 50-caliber machine gun nests, thousands of terrorists, and all in the scorching desert heat.
The Commanding Officer giving these LAST WORDS for you before you go, has already made this patrol
hundreds of times; and HE is the only one who ever has made it back, unscathed by the enemy.
At the briefing HIS personally written field manual for battlefield survival will be explained, plus the key
elements of the body armor will be shown, explained, and fitted. Also, the ONLY weapon for offense will
be demonstrated and ammunition will be issued.

Wow, wouldn’t every one of us being deployed, be there in the front row? We’d all be taking notes,
staying after asking questions, helping each other as fellow soldiers getting geared up, and working
together for our mutual survival.
Yet today, most of the Special Forces (that’s us as believers)…. Deployed by the Lord (that’s the Great
Commission)…. Into the harsh and deadly territory of Satan the master terrorist (the god of this world):
Are riding around like they are on vacation, Like sitting ducks, riding in the open seats atop a double
decker tour bus, Driving through enemy territory.
No daily preparation (pray without ceasing), No body armor (take up the full armor of God), No
attendance at the briefings (assembling of yourselves together), No ammunition (but by every Word of
God), and No weapons (the sword of the Spirit) in sight.
The daily casualties are horrific as you can imagine, Many wounded soldiers are strewn along the road,
Most have flaming darts burning in their unprotected lives, Most are incapacitated and no longer on
their mission. Only a few seem to be at the briefings, reading and using the manual, and following the
Commanding Officer each day. That is what Jesus found on His visit to His Special Forces bases (the 7
churches in Rev. 1-3).
Are any of us just going through the motions, no longer passionate for Jesus like we used to be?
Are any of us starting to fear how bad the world is getting?
Are any of us getting comfortable around sin, and no longer forsaking personal sins?
Are any of us acting and operating like lost people, and because we’re so distracted, we’ve stopped even
seeing Christ in His Word each day?
Beware of: coasting, just going through the motions, not passionate for Jesus like we used to be;
starting to fear our future, our health, our safety; getting comfortable around sin, amusing and
entertaining ourselves with sin, and not fleeing sin; getting truth-challenged; acting & operating like lost
people; so distracted that time with God in His Word is gone from our daily vitals.
Unwrapping Jesus Christ: As He is Now (Revelation 1:9-13)…Then I turned to see the voice that spoke
with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands
One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a
golden band…Jesus’ Favorite Word for Himself (Rev. 1:12-13)
Jesus, Our Great High Priest: We couldn’t go to God, so God came to us.
Revelation is God’s Reminder to Us: Nothing God says in this book is only said here, just here, for the
first time.
Understanding Jesus’ Greatest Miracle & Our Greatest Need. Revelation 1:5—Our greatest need isn’t
happiness, It’s forgiveness.
We are EACH called to OFFER Christ’s GREATEST MIRACLE to Our Generation. My Friend Daniel
Are YOU Obeying to Christ’s Last Words To His Church, or Just Riding the Tour Bus through life?
“Only one life to live and soon is past
Only what’s done for Christ will last!”
Hoping to make the time I have left count for the glory of God.
